Fueling the Intellectual Case for Freedom and Virtue
Last Year Acton scholars spoke at over 200 events worldwide.
The Acton Institute’s Research and Publications department serves as the intellectual engine of our mission, producing rigorous, interdisciplinary scholarship that affirms the compatibility of faith and freedom and advances the moral foundations of a free and virtuous society. Acton scholars, both in-house and affiliated, represent a wide range of faith traditions and academic disciplines, including theology, law, philosophy, economics, and history. Their work informs not only scholarly discourse, but also public policy, education, and cultural renewal across the globe.
In the past year alone, Acton scholars spoke at over 200 events worldwide—from the U.S. and England to Indonesia, Israel, and Romania—and published more than 100 articles, essays, and op-eds in leading outlets including The Wall Street Journal, National Review, First Things, Foreign Policy, Christianity Today, and Law & Liberty. Our peer-reviewed Journal of Markets & Morality remains a global leader in exploring the intersection of theology, ethics, and economics, while our research grants, Novak Award, and academic colloquia support a rising generation of scholars who integrate timeless truths with modern challenges.
When you give to Acton’s Research and Publications, you fuel the production of influential books, journals, and programs that equip leaders in the academy, church, and public square. Your support ensures that our ideas continue to shape institutions, inform policy, and inspire principled action.
